Never Forgotten – Farrad L. Harding
From elementary school science partners to much much more, Farrad Harding will always be missed. Today marks seven years since Farrad left; April 6th 2007 he passed away unexpectedly after suffering from cardiac arrest. This was such a tragic moment in my life, but I have allowed this pain to help change, drive and motivate me to do and achieve more in life. ❤
Since his passing I have been a supporter of the American Heart Association (AHA) and American Red Cross. In his honor, this year, I decided to set up a tribute page to support the AHA and their mission to build healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke. When you donate to the AHA, you are joining in the fight against our nation’s No. 1 and No. 4 killers – heart disease and stroke. Each year, these diseases kill more than 811,000 Americans, which is roughly the same as the entire population of El Paso, Texas or Baton Rouge, La. Some form of cardiovascular disease affects more than one in every three adult Americans. Your donation will support such life-saving efforts as research, education, advocating for better health, improving patient care and reaching populations at risk. In short, you are helping save lives.
I am passionate about fitness and passionate about helping others improve their health. I urge everyone assess their risk for heart disease/stroke and take steps to minimize that risk. Click here for more information and the AHA Risk Calculator.
